THE OPERATOR
About
I'm Andrew Campbell. I've spent fifteen years building go-to-market systems — product marketing, revenue architecture, pipeline design — across EdTech, enterprise automation, data technology, fintech, and AI.
I still work a lot like I did in my past life as a chemist: hypothesis, instrument, measure, iterate. Most go-to-market problems aren't strategy problems. They're measurement problems wearing a strategy costume.
For most of my career I was the person inside the company who could see what was broken. Now I do that from outside, and I bring the tools to fix it.
WHY THE NAME
Iron is soft. Carbon is brittle. Together they're steel.
An alloy is what you get when two elements fuse into something neither could be alone.
Most GTM help arrives as one element or the other. The strategist diagnoses and departs. The software solves a narrow problem and leaves implementation to you.
I do both halves. That's the whole idea.

Grew a B2B integration marketplace 10× in twelve months.
Designed the recommendation engine, rebuilt search and category structure, and launched developer advocacy and community mechanics.
R-03
Shipped a solution discovery tool still running in production two years later.
Built for an enterprise automation platform's primary web property.
R-04
Supported 60%+ YoY product revenue growth across a 20+ product portfolio.

R-05
Raised NPS by 10 points at a computer science education platform.
Rebuilt messaging, redesigned the site around conversion, and launched automated lifecycle campaigns.

Designed and built Crucible.
An AI content engine for small businesses, running in production — brand voice modeling, automated video editing, multi-platform content generation.
METHOD
How I work
Integration over replacement.
Most companies don't need a new stack. They need the one they're already paying for to actually work together.
Diagnose before building.
Agencies run their playbook regardless of fit. The playbook comes second.
Signal over noise.
Activity metrics are comfortable and mostly useless. The work is finding the small number of behaviors that actually predict revenue, then instrumenting for those.
Build it rather than recommend it.
If something can be built inside the engagement, it gets built.
CLARIFICATIONS
Frequently asked questions
Q-01How is this different from an agency?
Most agencies run their proven playbook first; only after the realities of your business conflict with that do they look for unique solutions. With us, diagnosis comes first, and only what your business needs gets built.
Q-02How is this different from a fractional CMO?
Fractional CMOs bring experience and confidence. I do too, but I also bring systems and tools that can be configured quickly — applications I've built to solve similar problems and frameworks I've applied to similar CRM setups. With Alloy, onboarding isn't a prerequisite to executing the diagnosis or build.
Q-03We already have tools. Do we have to switch?
Almost never. Integration over replacement. Half the job is making what you already pay for work together.
Q-04How technical does this get?
As technical as needed. CRM architecture, workflow automation, SQL-level data cleanup, custom internal tools, API and MCP integrations. What I don't do, I'll bring in my proven partners to tackle.
Q-05Where are you based?
Austin, Texas. Work is remote.
